Secretary Cardona to Visit New Jersey to Highlight Importance of Early Learning Programs and Access to Career Technical Education Programs

On Monday, Feb. 26, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will travel to Union City, New Jersey, to highlight new resources for early school success and tour the Eugenio Maria de Hostos Early Childhood Education Center.

Afterward, Secretary Cardona will discuss the need for increased career pathways and career and technical education (CTE) programming and apprenticeships. He will tour the Essex County Vocational to highlight new funds awarded to Essex County Vocational Technical Schools through the Department’s Career Connected High Schools grant program.

This trip is part of President Biden’s Investing in America tour which will demonstrate how the President is delivering for communities across the country, including those that have been left out or overlooked. To date, the Administration has now launched over 50,000 infrastructure and clean energy projects and mobilized over $640 billion in private sector clean energy and manufacturing investments.
