The Department of Education was appropriated $1,000,000 to establish a pilot grant program to support technology upgrades for community colleges for the purpose of supporting cybersecurity programs. The efforts of the nation?s community colleges to expand cybersecurity education in lower-income student populations are commendable and important, but often those schools lack the resources to maintain state of the art programs.
