On Wednesday, March 20, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will travel to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he will discuss the need for increased career pathways, especially in areas that support the Latino community, followed by a tour of a full-service community school.

Secretary Cardona will start the day by participating in a breakfast with Latino community leaders to talk about Latino engagement and hear about needs of the community. A pool spray will take place near the end of the event.

Afterwards, he will tour Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology where he will see their various career and technical education (CTE) and apprenticeship programming.

A press gaggle will take place following the tour.

Secretary Cardona will end the day at George Washington Elementary School, a full-service community school, where he will tour their enhanced mental health programming efforts. Afterwards, he will speak to students during a school assembly about the connection between music and mental health, in collaboration with the national non-profit, Sounds of Savings.
