The Consortium school districts are located in the western tip of Kentucky, a part of the Mississippi Delta region that has a rich cultural heritage but lags behind the nation in growth. The districts include 64 schools and more than 2000 teachers. The cadre of history teachers participating in "TAHOE Faces" will explore historical eras using biographies and memoirs to connect one historical period to another: lives of prominent Americans and others will be correlated to ideas and struggles they represent.
