SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Date: January 26, 2010
The Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools posted an application package for the Cooperative Civic Education and Economic Education Exchange Program, CFDA 84.304A on January 21, 2010. The application package was posted at the following addresses on the U.S. Department of Education Web site:

- http://e-grants.ed.gov
In addition, information about this program grant competition was announced in the OSDFS Prevention News Bulletin LISTSERV. A copy of the application package also was shared.
The application package included a List of Eligible Countries from the FY2009 grant competition. The OSDFS has updated and reloaded an approved of List of Eligible Countries for the Cooperative Civic Education and Economic Education Exchange Program for fiscal year 2010.
Two sections of the application package required updated information: (1) List of Eligible Countries on pages 74-76 and (2) Frequency Asked Questions section included a question about the countries eligible to participate in the program on page 35.
If you downloaded or received an electronic copy of the application on Thursday, January 20th or Friday, January 21st, you will need to download a revised version of the application package to review the changes before preparing and submitting an application.
The OSDFS plans to extend the transmittal deadline for submitting an application for the Cooperative Civic Education and Economic Education Exchange Program. A notice will be published in the Federal Register announcing the revised application deadline. A copy of the notice also will be available at the following Department of Education Web site:
