8.Objectives: To provide career education, individualized work experience, and transition services to adjudicated youth with disabilities entering his/her home high school or a vocational technical school.

9. Procedures: Vanderbilt University and the Tennessee Department of Youth Development propose to establish a model program to transition adjudicated youth into community life with ongoing support following release. A group home setting for youths ages 15 - 18 will serve as the location for the program. Program principles will be taught and practiced throughout the day. Work experience in community settings will be required of all residents.

10.Outcomes/Results/Products: To provided vocational education and to place each student in a job or post secondary education setting before graduation. To evaluate, document, and disseminate the impact of the program model and its components. Dissemination includes publications, presentations and in-services. A manual describing the treatments, their effectiveness, and how to implement the treatments into correctional special education programs and public schools will be produced.
