General Description: Augments basic Recap Program provided at Rock County Jail releasing participants one month early. Average program stay currently four months, will be three months plus one month in the community and a year of follow up/support.

Project Objectives: (1) To administer intensive basic skills and drug/alcohol assessment to all participants, (2) to provide alcohol and drug counseling in a group settings to all participants, (3) to provide basic skills instruction (10-12 grade level) to all participants demonstrating need, and (4) to provide vocational education classes focusing on entry level job skills which will be coordinated with live work experience.

Student Profile(s): Average age 25--12 percent females, 53 percent minority, 50 percent no job history, 10th grade education; must demonstrate literacy, AQ DA and vocational need.
