8.Objectives: To provide community-based vocational training and supportive services in a neighborhood environment for youth offenders who are confined to the State youth correctional facility. To increase participant self-esteem, work habits, communication skills, and career awareness.
9. Procedures: This program provides a daytime comprehensive vocational/life skills program in the community to youth offenders prior to their release for five days each week, for 16 weeks.
10.Outcomes/Results/Products: To provide comprehensive and holistic vocational training and alternative educational services. To evaluate, document, and disseminate the impact of the program model and its components.
