8.Objectives: To provide the transition of incarcerated juveniles and adults from correctional facilities into communities and jobs via pre-employment training. To provide career counseling, vocational education, family and community agency involvement, and academic tutoring.
9. Procedures: Through this project, the Nebraska Department of Corrections and participating community colleges will create a working relationship within the Nebraska Correctional Services adult facilities providing the opportunity for inmates to build the competencies needed for a successful transition to the outside.
10.Outcomes/Results/Products: Over 3 years, to provide 1440 participants educational assessment, career/educational planning, job skills, literacy training and transition support. To evaluate, document, and disseminate the impact of the program model and its components. Publications and mailings will be disseminated.
