8-9 p.m. EST - Satellite Town Meeting on Afterschool! Folks across the country can downlink to participate in discussion on afterschool issues and ideas on how to run sustainable quality programs.

May 19, 2000
New grants announced in 310 school districts with community partners, supporting approximately 1500 CLCs, totaling $185.7 million. This brings the total number of 21st CCLC grants to 903, spanning every State, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia.

March 20, 2000
The due date for applications for the 2000 competition is March 20. Over 2,260 communities throughout the country participated in this year's competition. Check back to this site for the announcement of FY 2000 awards.
