Welcome to the OERI/Student Achievement Institute Home Page! In 1994, Congress created the National Institute for Student Achievement, Curriculum and Assessment. Our efforts strive to assure that all students will learn the challenging content, concepts and skills needed to live, work, and meet the intellectual and social demands of the 21^st Century. We have endeavored to create and implement a research and development agenda that lies at the juncture of scientific opportunity and greatest national need. The results of this research will enable teachers, principals and other educators to create schools and classrooms that enhance teaching and learning.
