Challenging Standards"
Tuesday, February 17, 1998

  • How can standards transform teaching and learning?
  • How can schools and communities raise learning standards and help students master the basics and acquire advanced skills?
  • How can schools and communities implement rigorous assessment systems to find out whether students have met high standards?
  • How can teachers and administrators engage parents, social service providers and members of the community in planning the academic and cultural life of a school?
