Regional Laboratory Competition

During FY 1995, the Regional Educational Laboratories will be recompeted. The awards, to be effective in late 1995, will be for 5-year periods.

During the summer, OERI held meetings around the country to discuss key issues about the Regional Educational Laboratories. The Federal Register notice about the meetings also asked for comments about the lab system. After assessing the comments generated by the meetings and notice and a review by the new National Educational Research Policy and Priorities Board, OERI should make the request for proposal (RFP) for the new Regional Educational Laboratories available in early 1995.
