As part of the process of including as many voices as possible in the discussion of technology, the US Department of Education's Office of Educational Technology conducted a series of regional forums around the country to solicit input into the long-range national plan from educators and other practitioners, school administrators, representatives of higher education, researchers, state and local policymakers, parents, business and community leaders, and other.
