The Office of Communications and Outreach leads ED's communications and outreach efforts. OCO oversees press relations, publications, contacts with organizations, and communication with parents, educators, students, and citizens.

OCO is responsible for:

• press releases, speeches, photos, ED RSS and Twitter feeds, biographies of senior staff and more (see Press Room)

• ED blog

• ED publications

• customer service

• video, television, and webcasts, including the monthly ED TV show, Education News

• several newsletters: ED Review, Education Innovator, EDInfo, Touching Base

• resources for parents

• teaching and learning resources (see FREE)

• recognition programs: NCLB Blue Ribbon Schools, Presidential Scholars, Presidential Education Awards
